I am a huge fan of augmented reality (AR) and I am very excited the potential of AR in education. Recently, I came across a great AR service, Daqri, which allows users to create QR codes that display images, movies and other pieces of content as soon as they are viewed through the camera from an iPhone or an Android device. Daqri launched in February this year and is still in private beta. I was fortunate to be invited to join the Daqri beta few weeks ago.
Daqri is an augmented reality service that overlays 3D images onto the real world through a smartphone, using QR codes as the anchor. The best part is that Daqri will enable users to create augmented reality products without writing any code. Here are some informative videos and a presentation about Daqri.
